The Georgia Academy for the Blind was founded in 1852 to serve the needs of students with visual impairments, with or without additional disabilities. Located in Macon, Georgia, their mission is to provide quality education services to prepare students with visual impairments to achieve their highest level of independence. They offer day and residential programs on campus as well as outreach services and professional learning opportunities.
